Blog...Take Two.

I am going to try this again. It's been over 2 years since I blogged, but I have been inspired. My little sister started a blog and is getting pretty consistent with it....so in true older sister fashion I thought..."if she can do it, I can, right?" We will see how it pans out. She is a much better writer than I, which would explain her degree in English to my degree in Physical Education.
So, you would think after a two year hiatus I would have lots of new things to report, but after a quick review of 2010/2011 I got nothing. That is not to complain...life is great. We are truly blessed. That being said there are no major life changes to report...same great husband, fulfilling job and rowdy pups. So there you have it...you are all caught up.

I am going to kick-start this new blog adventure with a recent DIY. A very simple Fall Decor Project. I got my inspiration for this project (and every other project...I have no original ideas anymore!!) from PINTEREST. So I made a blessing "tree". Grabbed some branches on a recent hike, arranged them in a vase I had on hand and tied a bow on it. Then I cut circles out of scrapbook paper I had on hand. I didn't spend a dime, but I am very pleased with how it turned out.

Jack-O-Lanterns...

I had a nice evening "celebrating" halloween with my Fiance...he is headed to St. Louis for the weekend so we had the traditional "jack-o-lantern" cheese turkey burgers and carved our pumpkin tonight. I am not a big halloween person, but I insist on continuing my family tradition of jack-o-burgers. Hope y'all have a festive halloween.

Unexpected Evening

Yesterday, my fiance and I were suppose to drive 6-hrs round trip to watch my little brother's last cross country meet. Unfortunately the weather was not great and the meet got canceled. I was disappointed to not see little bro run, but I had a wonderful evening!!! My fiance is usually only in town over the weekend, and I always have clients or class on the week night...so, it was a wonderful treat to put on my new old navy slippers and fix dinner together. I also made apple crisp for dessert and we watched a taped episode of One Tree Hill...my favorite!! It was a wonderfully relaxing evening!!

A Perfect Fall Day

Yesterday my fiance and some of my family at the Pumpkin Patch. I absolutely love fall, and one of my favorite things to do is go to the Pumpkin Patch. We rode trikes, jumped on the jumping pillow and picked out our very own pumpkins. We had a great day...my nieces and nephew had "too much fun". My fiance was thrilled to find the meanest pumpkin in the patch!
